Willand School Virtual Tour

Willand School is a popular, village school which currently has 404 children on roll aged 4 to 11. We are located just off the M5, 3 miles north of Cullompton in Mid Devon.

We offer a high standard of education for all of the children in our care. We recognise that each child is unique. We are privileged to share part of their lives and our role is vital in ensuring that they fulfil their full potential.

The children benefit from modern, spacious accommodation as the school has been extended in recent years. There are now fourteen light, well equipped classrooms. There is a large hall which also doubles as the dining hall where the children can enjoy an excellent lunch cooked daily on the premises. In addition, we are fortunate to have extensive grounds with two playgrounds, a large, level playing field and an Environmental Area.

An excellent team of staff offer children a rich variety of learning experiences and extra-curricular activities, both in and out of the classroom. They seek to provide a safe, happy, caring atmosphere in which the children can enjoy their school life and grow and develop into well balanced, confident young people.

We have high expectations and great emphasis is placed on providing a quality learning environment which is attractive, stimulating and engages the children.

Positive attitudes are important at Willand. Children are expected to be courteous, co-operative, helpful and fair; to be industrious and to take a pride in their learning, their work and themselves.
